Phone software version, Software version date (in DD-MM-YY format), Phone type (for example: N97 mini, RM-555), on some newer mobile phones: Custom version, Language set, Model name. Some cheaper phones needs SIM card to enter this code. Try *#9999# if *#0000# doesn't work.

*#92702689# (with or without SIM)
(*#WAR0ANTY#) IMEI number, when was the mobile phone made, purchasing date, date of repairings, life timer (incoming and outgoing calls). Note that You can't exit from this menu, You have to restart the phone after entering this code.

MAC address of the internal Wifi adaptor

*#2820# (with or without SIM)
Bluetooth Device Address (Bluetooth MAC address)

Procedure of entering NCK code in Nokia phones

Press "*" button 2 times for "+" character.
Press "*" button 3 times for "p" character.
Press "*" button 4 times for "w" character.

1. Turn ON phone without SIM card.

2. Enter:
  • #pw+15 digit NCK+1# for unlocking "Provider Lock" (usually this lock is closed)
  • #pw+15 digit NCK+2# for unlocking "Network Lock"
  • #pw+15 digit NCK+3# for unlocking "Country Lock"
  • #pw+15 digit NCK+4# for unlocking "SIM Card Lock"
  • #pw+15 digit NCK+5# for unlocking "? Lock"
  • #pw+15 digit NCK+6# for unlocking "? Lock"
  • #pw+15 digit NCK+7# for unlocking "All Locks" (You may use this code, it will unlock all locks.)
3. Phone should give "Phone restriction off" message. There are some phones which are hangs after entering the code. In this case insert a SIM card which is not accepted, then "Invalid SIM card" will appear. Now press "Unlock" button then enter the code. If that method is not working, try the procedure with an accepted SIM.

4. Now phone is unlocked.

Unlock Instruction for Blackberry Storm (9500 or 9530), Storm 2 9550

1. Insert any sim card
2. Turn off all of the wireless connections
3. Go to Options
4. Select Advanced Options
5. Select SIM Card
6. Hit menu select show keybord
7. Enter mepd (you will not be able to see the typed info)
8. Enter mep2

9. Now it will say enter network mep code


Unlock Instruction for blackberry 8300 series, 8520, 8800 series, 8900, Bold 9000, Tour 9630, Bold 2 9700

I finally figured out how to root without looping. After rooting 13 phones, this is how I did it on the first try.

Turn USB Debugging OFF

Click Root

When it says: Waiting for Device, Turn USB Debugging ON

It'll now run RATC

When it says: Starting ADB Server...
Turn USB Debugging OFF
Turn USB Debugging ON
Turn USB Debugging OFF
All BEFORE it says "Waiting for device..." again


If you're having issues with "wait for device" or if RATC is looping, try this
Unplug your USB Cable
Go to Settings > Applications > Development
Uncheck USB Debugging
Plug in your USB Cable
Unplug your USB Cable
Check USB Debugging
Plug in your USB Cable

Removing security from any bb parmanently

you need to remove IT policy , here is the working solution how to remove IT policy tested by me many times

Go to your Options : Security >> Security Options (the same page where you can enable/disable passwords) & scroll to the bottom. If there's an IT policy attached, it will be mentioned there. Remove the IT policy using these instructions

Procedure
Step 1 : Ensure the Blackberry Desktop Manager is installed using Blackberry Internet Service, and not Blackberry Enterprise Server. If you are unsure, it would probably be a good idea to uninstall the Desktop Manager and start again. If you don't have the CD that came with your Blackberry, the Software can be downloaded here.

Step 2 : Download the file policy.bin and save it in your Blackberry installation directory (C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry).

Step 3 : Wipe your Blackberry, creating a backup if necessary. Select Options/Security/Wipe on the Device. If this option is unavailable, you may have to install the latest software on your Blackberry. You need to Download and install the latest OS for your device. Connect your device, open the Desktop Manager, select Application Loader, and follow the prompts.

Step 4 : Close the Desktop Manager if it is open.

Step 5 : From the Windows XP Start Menu select Run..., and at the prompt type regedit. In the tree on the left hand side, navigate to:

HKEY_Current_Users\Software\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\PolicyManager

Right-Click the Policy Manager Folder and select New/String Value. Name the value Path. Now, Double-Click the Path Subkey and set Value Data to:

C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\policy.bin

Step 6 : Open the Desktop Manager.

Step 7 : Connect the Device। Verification Once complete, the Options/Security screen on your Blackberry should not contain references to an IT Policy, you should now be able to change all settings (including password prompts), and install Third Party Applications।
